I ve got EH/D Bluemax ,Bilstein shocks and Dobinson springs - Leaves seem to ride ok , harshness is mostly coming from the front , i am guessing coils might be a touch too heavy. You answered my question - more lift means more harshness .
My Navara rides much harsher after the lift , i would like decent lift combined with softer ride . Smooth over bumpy roads if thats is possible when lifted. We got a stock 4WD in the family and that rides over bumps much smoother . Question is can you have longer springs but as soft as stock ones.
Sorry to butt in Zordo but how does ride quality relate to lift - could you have a decent lift with soft ride . Mine definitely rides much harder after a lift.
Reducing consumption of diesel by adding another type of fuel :-) do you get LPG for free? Your savings are difference between diesel saved and LPG added plus cost of the LPG injection install .
Converted to LPG generally means converted to run LPG only or as a dual fuel setup. In your case it...
NP300 would do really well to sell in numbers D40 used to sell . Especially considering how long D40 stayed in production.
Competition is really strong nowadays and NP300 is not offering the point of difference needed to outsell Ranger/BT50 , Hilux or even Triton .
Try drawing a schematic diagram - list what sort of loom are you using and we might be able to help. In principle you do use high beam to trigger a relay to turn the auxiliary lighting on. This high beam trigger is interrupted by a switch in the cabin so you can have light bar either on or off...
Just received my kit from Zordo this morning - I am in Melbourne - ordered on Friday and it was here on Tuesday . Great service and good pricing - highly recommended.
Snorkels are engine specific - you need V9X snorkel. Having said that if you are handy and don't want to keep it stock you can make anything fit , people have done custom snorkels and air filter boxes.
You had to be from Melbourne - we are obsessed with speedo reading precision :-) I own the same car and speedo seems within spec - have you changed your tyre size ?
Nissan does want to move cars - new Navara is behind Hilux ,Ranger ,Triton and Colorado , selling just 750 units a month. Navara used to be number 2 behind Hilux for a while during D40 reign. Others are over 2000 mark.
Bullbar needs to come off - you won't get intercooler out through the grill opening. There is a picture in post number 50 with ARB bar removed . I d like to see someone get to it without removing the bar.
They already got the money out of us so chances of Nissan releasing the transmission programming fix for D40 550 are minimal. Or maybe I am too sceptical :-).
We got FJ Cruiser and 1GR is surprisingly economical - 11L/100 in peak hour traffic - 15 off road , not too bad for performance on offer , it is a smooth ,powerfull engine . If I was to change from my 550 , I would probably go GR Hilux.
