Snorkel 2.5L: Genuine Nissan Snorkel

Hi,

i just bought a snorkel off gumtree and the guy said it was off an 2012/2013 d22 2.5L, which is perfect as mine is a 2012.

but as you know buying stuff off gumtree can be dangerous as people can tell you want you want to hear to sell the product.
anyway when i asked him again if it came off a 2013 he was not 100% anymore and sounded dodgy. i bought it anyway as i have been looking for a snorkel for ages.

my question/favor is dose anyone have pics of the pipework that came with the snorkel?

all my research comes up with what it looks like installed but cant find any pics of it prior to it going on. i know the diffrance betweent he duel and single battery snorkel is the actaul pipework going into the airfilter.

any pics would be great so i can try and work out if this is the snorkel i need before going and cutting holes in my nav haha.

Have you got any pics of the pipework you have? It should have the snorkel body, obviously lol, then a piece with an end that slips over the outlet of the snorkel body and the other end should have a plate looking thing with 2 holes in it that matches up with the body panel inside the quarter panel. I hope that makes sense lol

Better still, post a picture of what you brought so we can see what is missing.

pretty sure it`s a single battery model, that looks like a pre cleaner where the second battery should be...

The snorkel itself and the pipe that runs inside the guard look correct but all the rest does not resemble what I have in my 2011. Mine didn't come with a pre cleaner which tells me that the one you have is the single battery model.

This is what you should have running through to the air cleaner.

These images are just what I found online, it could be slightly different.

Thanks guys. I was having an indepth look through the forums for more info and found a few photos that helped. It definitely is for a single battery.

From my research the snorkel itself is the same but its just pipe in the engine bay that connects the gaurd pipe to the air filter. Which you cant buy separately. A few blokes have done a dyi fix for their 3l which i assume is the same in reverse.

Can anyone confirm if you cant buy the intake pipe separately and if thats the only difference.

The pipe you need is the one that sits inside the quarter panel. The one in your picture is similar, but the end where it goes through into the engine bay should be flat with 2 holes to put bolts through... Basically, that factory pipe you have that goes to the air filter box, the other side should match that. It bolts over the metal of the inner guard panel.
