Default Unknown cable

Hey guys so when replacing my batteries today I noticed there was what seemed to be a earth cable that has come undone and was just floating around under the power steering res.
I assume its a earth but not sure where or what's it for. Could this have been contributing to my starting problems....

It is an earth lead that bolts to the top of the guard next to the injector line that runs to the injector pump.

Awesome cheers, ending up just earthing it where another wire was earthed so I could use the same bolt.
Any idea what it's for?

Yeah basically but without the elbow grease.
I just degrease lightly and then hose off.
I have done it since new, that way the muck doesn't get a chance to build up.
