Pulling error codes from a YD25

Hi guys,
I have searched high and low but to no avail.

I am after a method of finding out what the ECU error codes are without a scanner for a 2011 YD25.

On the old X trail there was a series of times you pumped the accelerator and other stuff to get the Engine light flashing the error codes.

Can anybody show the way or point me to a link please.

this is 2008 yd25, hopefully the same for later ones.

There's nothing wrong with the Nav, it's just in case.

Hi gents does anyone have this procedure for a STX 550 2013 model? Got a solid red engine light on after fitting a Donaldson pre factory fuel filter 500- 1000km ago - my guess is it's related?
