VQ40 V6 Serpentine belt change

Tools Required
3/8 drive rachet
10mm socket
flat blade screwdriver

DAYCO Poly-Rib 7PK2215 (373k7)

-Undo the two 10mm bolts holding the top engine cover
-Lift the cover enough to get at the two 10mm bolts holding the front air intake tube in place
-Undo the two bolts holding the Air intake Tube
-Loosen the Hose clamps on either end of the air intake tube
-Loosen hose clamp and remove rocker cover breather
-Remove the Air Tube Assembly
-Use the 3/8 rachet to loosen the tension on the belt tensioner( there is a square hole in the tensioner and the tensioner moves in a downward motion to loosen the belt.)
-Remove the old belt taking note where it goes

1)Serpentine Belt
2)Power Steering
3)Alternator
4)Crankshaft
5)A/C
6)Cooling Fan
7)idler
8)Belt Tensioner
Then its reverse the removal and your done

And I did pretty much the same on ClubFrontier as there is a heap of info there for the V6

That's a great and interesting write-up you have there. Well, this is the kind of stuff is one of the few reasons why I like this forum wherein you learn many DIY. Anyway, thanks for sharing this info, it would really come in handy for me whenever I get to change my serpentine belt.

That's a great DIY. Well, my uncle would be doing some replacement of worn-out parts in his vehicle and I just thought that he might have a chance to also change his serpentine belt so this would be a great guide for him. Anyway, I'm gonna share this to my uncle and thanks for sharing it.
