Gday all

In my search to find skinny 33's, i found that the truck tyre size 8.25r16 is equivalent to 255/85/16 which is what im putting on next. the truck tyres are about 10-14ply and i can get them in assorted tread from road-a/t-mud. they r even priced cheaper than the 4wd tyres. my question thusly is there any draw back to putting these tyres on instead of the 'light truck' rated 4wd ones?

When i came up for tyres, i looked at a similar size ->255/80/17
My theory was if i put factory width on but taller tyres id run into less drama but still achieve a higher stance
Cant say yay or nay as i wasnt able to find anyone that supplied them locally

Landrover fit 235/85r16to their Defender model that's about a 32, I have heard of some folk waiting days in the scrub for replacments to be trucked in being an odd size.

Yeah mate. The idea of the skinnys is to not overly affect the boogie ability but gain the advantage in height for the car.
