Hi guys,
First of all, I have a 2006 Nav STX manual with zilch mods, and my mechanical knowledge is very limited.
At the risk of duplicating a thread about blocking the EGR, there is a lot of info about using a blocking plate, but I am hoping someone can tell me the difference between using a plate and the "EGR delete pipe kit" supplied by YD25.com.au.

The reason I am considering this mod is that it ihas been suggested that it increases low end torque, and it seems to be the simplest first step in trying to overcome the lack of umph when taking off, especially when towing.
At this point for various reasons I am not interested in chips or re-mapping.

Sooooo, does it really improve performance, and if so, is the kit a better option?

Thanks.
