Ok so start rant

I had some work done by Macquarie 4x4, they did some good work (so i thought) Replaced the rear main seal, fixed the rear brakes, and replaced the gear box mounts.

They did all this work in 2 days. they forgot to tighten the bolts for the drive shaft at the back of the gearbox. This is after they test drove it and said it was fine to go, yet it took me about 50 metres to realize that something was wrong. (1st dodgy workmanship)

I also noticed when i picked the car up that the ride height wasn't right, after a couple of days driving and alot of scrubbing turning corners i decided to take it back saying that the ride height is low and not how i brought it in. To which he responded that it is lifted as far as it can be and that its not their fault.

I went 4wding a couple of weeks ago and there was another d22 there with a 3" sus lift. I have a 3" sus lift and 2" body lift. The other d22 sat slightly higher which made it clear that this is wrong.

I got the other d22 to measure the height from the centre of his hubs to the bottom of his flares he came in at 560mm, i measured mine and it came in at 550mm. So this pissed me off.

I went back to them today to get them to fix this issue. Brendan "the head mechanic" told me that it is not his issue, it is my problem. He told me that he can "try" and fix it at my cost.

He tried to blame it on the torsion bars not being as "strong" as i thought they were (I have calmini heavy duty's). Then when i told him that, he tried to say that maybe its fault with the system that winds up the torsion bars (cant remember the name he used)

After all this i said that he should be the one trying to fix this issue as he was the last person to do work on the car, and since he did the work it has not being the right setup or even close to the height that i brought it in at.

He then told me he has explained the faults that could be possible and he has nothing more to say and walked away.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They had a chance to get alot of buisness out of me and people i know. But after the way they have treated me, i recommend that people stay away from them and do not use them!

Rant over.

No, not rant over. They were contracted to do a job & in the process caused your bus to come back in an unsatifactory condition. They should be fixing it (indexing torsion bars). Lesson for all here is to record ride height before and after any work that involves TB.

What a wanker like I showed u how he has put it in wrong so it physically can't go up anymore.. Talk to Chris man he will be happy to help u do it again n I'll come drink the beers n watch

Yea i know that now mate, i didnt know what the job involved as i am new to the mechanical game. I know now and will be carefull with any futher works to my car.

Yea dave, i will have to sort something out with chris and try and fix it.

Complete bullshit what they have done

That's shit hey. It really makes you wonder WTF are they doing inside the workshop behind closed doors.

feel sorry for you mate - you took your truck to their workshop knowingly that they will perform what you asked for and not returning it with other issues. Hence I stick to the shop I know or done some research and get excellent feedback.

hopefully you get this sorted mate

Aaron. Get a high lift and we will sort it out at my place.
I don't have a jack high enough atm.

I went there a year or so ago to get a steering damper as I was going past at the time and the bloke in there laughed at me and said cause i have ifs it's impossible to get one I then showed him pics of one for a d22 andnhe told me I was stupid for believing photoshopped pics next day I got one from 4WD1 they had the worst customer service I have ever experienced I will never go back and it's a shot go that u had to go through all that, I can also help wind the bars up it only takes 10 minutes, (I had both torsion bars fall out after the first time I changed them, now I'm pretty good at them haha)

This happens all to often from so called "specialists" and "professional tradsmen" !- what did the **** say who bolted the tail shaft back in (and Yes he is a **** and if that was my shop that would be instant dismissal and don't you dare look back) !
....the prick needs to have a stick take'n to him... had many a local mech' here just as bad - turns out they all suck bongs through out the day and if they are not doing that they are pulling each others dick and telling themselves and each other how good they are !!!!
Watch out there out there- I always stay and watch mechanics now (specialy if it's on the running gear), if they wont let you look on "be ****ed if I'd give them my time and money !!!
I'd be hitting as many sites as you can and tell anyone who'll listen about the TAIL SHAFT and what cock smasher is responsible plus the name of the shop !
I thank you and I 'm sure there is another just like you out there that will be thankful too !
