The plastic pipe on my D40 snapped off, so I designed and 3d printed a repair piece. I filed back the snapped pipe and slightly drilled the remaining orifice. Slid the HP MJF printed part into the orifice with a coating of glue.It has a reinforcing block to take the load off the pipe. Worked a treat.

They're a lot of fun. I have done miniature train wheels before. Our printer is worth close on $1 mill.to get that sort of detail

Good grief, I'm hoping to spend not even 1,000th of that.

I'd turn train wheels on my microlathe before I 3D printed them anyway - even plastic turns out ok (if you do it slowly).
