What amp fuse for lights ?

just wondering, how do i calculate the amperage fuse i will need for spotlights, as the packaging and instructions does not specify?
is this the same formula for all lights?
or....?

Amps=watts/volts

So take the wattage of the 2globes together eg. 2x50w=100w
Devide that by 12.
8.3A
And go up to the next fuse size
So a 10A fuse would be fine here

Thankyou, so my 2x70watt lights divide by 12 = 11.6A. So I should use a 15 amp fuse?

ultimately your fuse is there to protect the cable not the lights.
yes a 15a fuse will give you enough current for the light, but your cabling needs to be rated at or above the fuse rating

What Krankin has said is most important! No use having a say 20A fuse if the cable is only good for 10A.

Brought me a 100 watt HID kit friday.

Will install it tomorrow.

Added other things today.

Oh and the local wreckers dont have any good bonnets. There all front enders.

However, I found a new toy for Shaggy cheap.

is 100w the final after conversion, or conversion from 100w? which will end up being brighter than sunlight itself...lol..?

100 watt each spottie.

The ballasts are big !@#$%^&.

Put some new LED bullbar lights in and replaced my number plate lights, the original globes lasted to 230,000km's.

The bullbar ones were lasting like 10,000km's and I got sick of replacing the globes.
