Does anyone know where i can find a step by step with pictures guide to installing all round d40 suspension
Cheers

Im not sure but you could try ARB.
They have very detailed step by step instructions for bullbars ect that they will print out, so i take it that they would have a set to fit tuff dog gear.

The only other person who you might find really helpful is Zordo from this form, everyone speaks very highly of him.

It is pretty straight forward, the only specialist tool you will need is the coil spring clamps which you can buy from super crap auto. Some people have used ratchet straps, but that is a pain in the .........

As everyone has said.. pretty straight forward..

the only thing I would recommend is to take the springs to a suspension shop and have them do the change over. Spring compressors are a pain, especially if you have constant load springs.

I paid $50 for a shop to do them and it took about 20 mins (probably actually took alot less, but that was 20min from me walking in unannounced to walking out)

That was pretty much my attitude.. I took the front struts out... jumped in the wifes car with the factory struts and the replacement stuff, they changed it all over and gave it back to me... easy done!

dont use spring compressors youll more then likly take off a hand with a supercheap one if you have little to no knowledge on how to use them. there mainly rated for light sedans anyway. ps youl need polyurathane grease and you should be able to get the front struts out with only droppin the sway bar and moving the control arms up and down, have a whole day spare if its your first time and someone to help you is really useful.

Gday mate i noticed your from bathurst. Ive got a bloke from there that can put the kit in for you. Doesnt. Harge much and gets in there and smashes it.

Very strongly recommend you get a professional to do your front coils, i had 10000000% grief when i did mine.

Thanks for all the info everyone im a gluten for punishment guna do it all myself pretty confident about most of it.
Its just putting the struts together washers and bushes etc in the right order that's got me a bit worried.
I got a new set of top strut plates from dobinsons for $77 so i can have the strut/coil assembled and ready to chuck in when the old ones come out.

Cheers Aussie that came in handy.
As Herb said dont use the cheap compressors,
mine started bending so i had to stop, took it to a local bloke to put em together only cost me $30 bit dirty on that because the compressors cost me $40 LOL
Got the front 2 Struts in and 1 rear spring in so far will finish in the morning,
and post some pix and lift measurements.
At this stage its looking like around 100mm in the front,
and only about 20mm in the back

Ended up with 100mm lift in front and 40mm in back looks great and rides great 100x better than the stock suspension

Alright not the best pics but its all i have.
