Has anyone done their own install of a rear diff lock on a d40, was wondering has hard it is to do?

Yep, very easy. In fact it can be done with a broken arm.

Actually I remember now that you do need a bearing puller to get the carriers off. Other than that it's a very straight forward centre swap. ARB instructions are usually pretty good. And yep I did swap mine with my arm in plaster.
