Ok so you nearly had to rip the door handle off to get the door to open so I thought replace the external handle and all will be well, like my old falcon, replaced it and what do you know it did jack sh*t and you nearly need to stand on a box to lift the handle high enough to open the door......any suggestions

Never had a nav door apart, but other cars run a link between handle and lock maybe see if its pulled straight, as some have a bend in them try bending it a little
So bloody hard to see and get at.....I will try as you have suggested, hopefully it is more simple than it its looks.
