Bash plates

Can anyone who has fitted Brown Davis underguards tell me how much ground clearance they have lost? I now have 175mm left on a stock std ST-X. This was not what I expected.

Must not be a very good guard.
I lost 6mm on mine (thickness of the Ally plate)

I have just fitted a Brown Davis underguard to the front of my Series 4 STX. The initial clearance from lowest point I could fine under the front where the axle housing attatches to the the front crossmember was 215mm and with the guard fitted the lowest point underneath is now 205mm so I have lost 10mm clearance although the low point is now consistent accross the entire guard. Not really an issue for me as the guard is more for protection from roo strikes than rocks. My offroad is mainly on the beach so possibly it may bottom out if I am in deep wheel ruts in which case I will just have to make my own tracks or grade the beach.

Forgot to mention my bullbar has 8mm brackets that go under the chassis rail where the guard bolts up. If I didnt have the bullbar then the front of the guard would be an extra 8mm higher.
