I've just completed 100k service on my 2009 st-r. I got a call from dealer telling me that brakes and clutch oil were dirty, mechanic says that it had NOT been changed during 80k service, which it should have. So I rang previous dealer and asked (I change service dealers depending where I'm working), they said they did do a brake and clutch oil change.
Cut a long story short I got charged $120 extra. Who do I believe ? To whom do I complain ? Nissan ? Do they give $@&!?

They also wanted $370 to change fan belts, which I declined.
Where the do you guys go for service in Sydney ? Anyone recommend a half decent place to change my belts in Sydney ? Seriously, $370 ? Really ?

Office of fair trading your state.

Sydney, dunno but forget Nissan dealerships. There is a few good ones but there very hard to find and there labor rates are over the top when you consider when it comes to tradies, mechanics hourly rate is at the bottom of the food chain.

Dodgy car dealer......WTF?
Haha

Email Nissan.

This is fraud. Unlawful
You may not be compensated, but they need to know.

At least tell us which dealer.

That's right - the more complaint nissan receives from a particular dealer will make them investigate further with anomalies on their services and quotings.

Nevertheless you can go to fair trading

Hence I don't go to dealership and get it service from my mates sefivde shop

Pedders got a big rap over the knuckles on ACA tonight ,
A woman went in for a full check on her explorer but the service guys didn't know the dash cam was recording , They didn't even jack her car up and can be heard joking that she wouldn't even know what they checked ,
And the Quote was over $4200 so she took it to an independent service centre and got them to check the same items guess what $2100 exactly half , I bet head office will be getting touch with that centre ??

Anyone recommend a Sydney service centre ? The 2 dealers I've dealt with a Steve Jarvon motors and Rockdale Nissan. In that order.

I've always stuck with Hornsby Nissan and they have always been great, my truck is coming up to the 60k service snd never have a problem. I spoke to Lander nissan a while back when I first wanted to buy a D40 but they weren't that helpful with the sale and seemed like they couldn't be bothered with the process even though my farther and I were buying one and were keen to sort everything out.

Ended up buying from Steve at Hornsby Nissan and stuck there ever since, very happy. TJM Parramatta do all my aftermarket work and their awesome too!

I wouldnt go to landers blacktown nissan for servicing. if you see my post on rant about brake pad failure they decide to put some fresh dirt to blame its my fault I was driving with dirts on drum brake.

I have heard a few others complain about "Steve Jarvon" on this site and all i can say is , i am not surprised, and i will tell you why.

A few years back i went around Aus installing all of the Nissan Dealerships with their current signage and silver fascia paneling, Anyway when it came time to do "STEVE JARVON NISSAN" he had a temporary yard while he was waiting for his current site to be built.

On this temp site we were meant to install big neon signs that read steve jarvon nissan each letter had to be screwed to the wall and inside each letter we had to drill a minimum of 2x 20mm holes for the cabling.

The trouble was the fascia was ASBESTOS and when i informed Steve Jarvon himself that i was not able to install the signs due to the hazard to not only me but all of his staff, customers, and pedestrians he didnt want to hear of it and TRIED to insist i do the work and that he could supply me with a vacuum to suck up the dust as i went.

Now unless it is a specific type of specialised vacuum it will just suck in the fine cancer causing fibres and pump them straight back out into the atmosphere on top of everyone below and passing by.

Steve didnt seem to care and was still telling me to do it, I explained to him it wasnt going to happen and asked why he couldnt just shine some light from the ground up onto a Vinyl letter sign for a few months, NO not good enough he said just do it.

I ended up having to have the matter put back through my company to Nissan, who decided that as it was only a temp site they could use vinyl stickers and spot lights from the ground to illuminate the letters.

Long story short Steve doesnt seem to be to concerned about any one but himself, so when it comes to caring about what happens once he gets peoples money it sounds like he does the same thing.

I emailed Nissan (through their website) on Friday afternoon and explained what happened. I got a call from Nissan 9am Monday morning, friendly chap that asked me to explain what happened. He was very polite and apologetic and understood my situation. He did ask me to confront first dealer with my paperwork from the service department and I told him there was no point.
Anyway, I got a phone call this afternoon (Monday again) from an apologetic sj service manager whom offered to reimburse the money charged by the second dealer.
Issue resolved, well, waiting for $141 cheque in the mail.

Great news.
I guess they can still play the, 'mistake' card.

Anyway, all it takes for assholes to prosper, is for good men to stay silent.

Go on the nissan australia Facebook page abd name and shame the dealership, I guarantee nissan will contact you and the dealership, know from experience. They hate bad publicity

I think you should name and shame on Facebook too Nissan will only take action against the rouge ripoff dealers if they a forced too
I wish my bad experience with my local Nissan dealer was that clear
Give them an upper cut for me while your there !

Castle Hill New Nissan Service

One world useless!

I left my lights on one night and the battery went completely flat so the head unit required the security pin, I went through my service book and found the pin card however it did not work because it had to be reset manually by a Nissan Dealer. I went to Nissan Castle Hill who then informed me they couldn't do anything on that particular day which I thought is fine because I had only driven in without an appointment but if I gave him all my details and Rego etc. he would have a look in the computer and give me a ring later that day to work out a time to come in, Never got a call back, never even returned my calls when I left messages as reception. Hornsby Nissan removed my head unit, re-set the unit within 20mins and gave me the correct re-set details when I dropped in one afternoon.

As some people have read on another tread a few weeks later I heard a blowing noise coming from my engine bay so I opened the bonnet and found that there was a split in the inlet pipe for the turbo, so I took it to Castle Hill Nissan once again, thought Ill give them a second chance because their only new and round the corner from my place, no worries he said ill book it in and order the part, should be here in 2 days, he called to say the part was in so I dropped it in the following Wednesday, they had the car all day to then call me and say they had ordered the wrong part and the part I needed wasn't in stock anywhere in Australia, no other dealerships had the part and it would take 4 -6 weeks before its in. I said I guess I will have to wait, asked about booking it in for a service and this part once its in stock he once again said no worries once the parts in we can book you in for the service and a quote on a snorkel, So I waited without driving the car just to be sure, 4 weeks later I called Castle Hill Nissan for an update and left messages with reception, no return nothing, I called Hornsby Nissan and Organise my upcoming service, dropped the car off, Hornsby Nissan ordered the inlet pipe, replaced the part, serviced the car and was all done within a few hours.

I don't know if Castle Hill Nissan couldn't be bothered with the service or the work, or just didn't want to deal with the part but I strongly advise to stay away from this place! If that's how lazy and unorganised they are who knows what they would be like working on your car!
