Righto, so was out fourbying today when I noticed that the fuel gauge had dropped to below empty. Initially thought oh crap, have punctured the tank or split a fuel line but no, looks like the gauge is playing up.
It was working fine before I took it out today and driving to the spot, was about an hour in and noticed it.
Have checked the wiring from the sender unit to the dash, seems in tact (thought I might have busted some wiring scraping a rock or something).
So from here Im thinking either faulty sender unit or the gauge in the dash (wiring behind dash perhaps). Anybody had either of these fail on there D21 z24 petrol?
Dropping the tank to get sender out doesnt look like a 5 min job :-(
