Navara Ratio's

I was looking a mates brothers new STR the other day and spotted his Navara is running 3.9 diff ratio's. Abit odd to me.

What are the rest of the guys with the YD25 powered D22's unning ratio wise.

The factory diff ratio is 4.375

Does it say on the diff what ratio is in it Dave? If it does maybe dec0guy could jump under and have a look to see if it matches up with Nissan's specs.

shouldnt all the 2.5s have the same ratio? there all manual?

Its on the compliance plate. CA39, my ZD30 powered D22 says CA43.

Could be an emission's thing, engine revs less and less fuel being used or it could be that the gearbox has a new set of ratio's.

For those that dont know, the CA stands for commercial application. The number's are the ratio.

Had a quick look at the comliance plate and it does say CA39, the spec sheets gives a 4.375 ratio though.

What ratio's do D40's run ?

D21's ?

VG30E/ZD30DDT powered D22's run 4.375, VG33E/QD32 run 4.636

I got given an older R180 diff from a Pathy it was about 3.88 or 3.85 from memory so maybe they are using that gearing with the smaller engine to give it more punch?

The two extremes:

Z24 4x2 dual cab run CA39.

TD27 4x4 C/C run CA48. (4.81)

Anything in between is often a CA43. (4.375)

Can't get a 4x4 in 3.9.

My Z24 D21 also states HG48 onthe plates.
