Hey fellas. A few of my 4x4 mates recommended the ARB plug-in t-timer. Although none of them own a D22.
So, i popped into ARB this morning, and a young bloke there told me their turbo timers are not yet compatible with the current model dual battery setup, D22's. I find that a bit odd. Since, as much as i'm not too technically minded yet with my navara, i'm sure t-timers have nothing to do with the batteries. Or do they?
He also mentioned something about an isolating switch being a work-around, which they can also set-up for a fee.
Was he trying to piss in my pocket or was he fair dinkum?

I think he is full of shit, they control the motor from the wiring around the ignition switch.

Dave.

+1 on I think you are being bullshitted.
WTF the size of number of batteries has to do with engine timing totally escapes me. unless he is admitting that it is really a dodgy unit that can not handle anything other than a battery at maximum charge and thinks your second battery might lower the main battery voltage(confused with an auxilliary battery perhaps).

They wouldn't even give me the price for a brand new longrange range tank, only the price on a second hand one.

I have never stepped foot in there store since.

TJM gets my business.

Dave.

when you go to a store that is a dedicated specialist parts supplier you expect the staff to have good product knowledge and experience
last time i visited my local tjm i got excellent service/advise and they were no dearer than autobarn/repco for the spotties i purchased,(and they supply the only snorkell to suit dual batteries)
