Sealed maintenance free battery

Looking into fitting a duel battery system to my trayback camper.
Decided to go with a Redarc isolator and would like to fit the second battery inside the camper.
Is it OK to fit a sealed maintenance free battery in the area people are living and sleeping?
Any information appreciated.

Put it in a sealed box the vents out of the cabin.

As Dave suggested venting is the key to any battery inside, we used to have a second battery and a 3 way fridge which ran on gas when we were camping running inside a Hiace Van and we used to sleep in the back for several nights at a time.
