Gearbox ecu in D21

Currently changing engine and auto box from an early wd21 Terrano into ol' faithful (whose gearbox is currently less than faithful).
The Terrano auto box has an ecu which lives behind the sidewall of the boot area. Do the auto boxes in the D21s also have an ecu, and if so, where do they live?
I'm thinking behind the rear seat(twin cab) would be nice and dry. Any suggestions?

Factory locations for TCM include under one of the two front seats, or on top of the transmission tunnel just back from the firewall. Higher and drier than that is certainly possible, up inside the dash somewhere maybe - sounds like you've got heaps of spare cable to play with from the Terry location.
