    Injector pump

Yes, because it's a regulator valve. If it's set wrong, you'll either get too much or too little pressure.

    Injector pump

lol what? that's the pump body pressure regulator, not an "extra hole"

    QD32 boost compensator

Yes and no. The parts do simply bolt together, but the revs would hang. I'm not sure if it was because of the condition of the parts, but this was years ago now. I've since fitted a TD27T pump and got fantastic results.

    Smokey 98 d22 qd32

Don't rule out your injector timing. A lot of white smoke like that would indicate it's over-retarded. Check the 3 mounting bolts for tightness. If they're loose, it's likely slipped.

    Consult location

It doesn't have one. There's only 2 wires to worry about on these engines. Nothing else really matters.

Would an imported QD32T fit in an N/A QD32 1999 Nissan Navara?

Not sure if you got this sorted, but buy 2 and I'll fit yours for you ;)

    General head bolt query

Yeah, I'm thinking 40Nm + 120 degrees is extremely tight too. 40Nm would be the theoretical torque for an 8.8 grade bolt. I'll just have to assume that the resulting torque will be approximately 90-100Nm, based on a yielded 10.9 grade, which doesn't seem THAT far off expectations.

    General head bolt query

I'm doing a cylinder head on a Suzuki Jimny 2011 at the moment... Naturally, I turn to suzuki for their head torque specs when I see this: My understanding is you go around 4 times, the last two being 60 degrees each? (120 degs total). I've used plenty of TTY bolts before, but never seen this...

    Clutch interchangeability.... TD27 and QD32

Hi, Does anyone happen to know the differences between the flywheels and clutches on these engines? a TD27 HD clutch kit is half the price of a QD32... but... The specs seem the same according to the navlife shop, and most of the other engine parts are interchangeable... 250 dia 25.5mm spline...

    logistics of a Z24 to a TD27T4, TD27Ti or TD27ETi

A few years too late... but you installed that part of the engine stand upside down. No wonder they're "all defective" haha

    Bd30 comp engine- rebuilt 300hp

A long shot. But do you still have this?

    Newcastle day trip?

So... nobody posted here for almost 4 years. I missed out. Let's do a repeat?

QD32 same as TD27 for turbo?

There's no base gasket on these engines. Squish is set using whichever head gasket thickness matches the protrusion spec of the turbo engine (if turboed, and if using turbo pistons). Don't just simply "use a thicker gasket". If the head is off, you may as well swap out the pistons, because...

QD32 same as TD27 for turbo?

In this case, you can use the bottom end just fine. Same parts etc. The turbo pistons are 0.1mm shorter and you set the squish gap as per qd32t spec.

QD32 same as TD27 for turbo?

Correct. But you're better off with a td27 pump. Also, the turbo pistons are different. Too much abuse and the qd32 ones will crack.
