If you have an EGT gauge you will see the temps rise when a burn off happens. But you won't notice it otherwise. The DPF light only comes on if it's blocked or is needing a burn. A long drive will sort the light out.

I had to do another reset today due to the problem in my last post. This time I unplugged the chip before I did it. I went for a drive and the problem was gone. I might leave it out for a few days to see what happens and then plug it back in. Then I'll look at the remap.

Yep I'm still getting around 13ltr per 100. BUT I've noticed that doing 110km/h and trying to overtake, at between 2500 and 3000 rpm's I start to lose power. It felt a bit like limp mode but not quite. Anyway I'm going to remap my ecu and hopefully get this sorted.

I spoke to Auggie last week. He said that doing a remap and still keep the chip is possible but I'm now realising that it's not the best thing to do. So we will remap my ECU in a few weeks with out the chip and see what happens. The only thing is that we can't dyno the results so without seeing...

That makes sense. I thought that the ecu had settings and that the chip would enhance some of those settings. But trick sounds like the better work. Now why can't the ecu be remapped to a point and then put the chip back on? Or is that too dangerous?
