thanks guys. it still makes the noise 30,000km later and 12 months on. i just figured it was the tensioner. last time i was on the beach it became louder. i checked the compressor wheel for play and all seemed fine. once engine cooled it was back to normal. so yeh most likely tensioner and now...

I didn't care about a deep dish look. I just wanted it to fit right. Cut a bit off the top inner part of each mud guard and raise the ute 2 inch and I've done over 600km on them and no scrubbing. Now with 32inch tyres I'm happy with the clearance. Can't wait to test them up Fraser Is. in couple...

yeh mate fitted 6.5 in mine

just had 16x8 +20offset rims with 265/75R16 put on. you'll need 2 inch lift and little bit of trimming to inner part of mud guard and all good.

just had installed 16x8 +20 offset rims fitted with 265/75R16 and can confirm they are a good fit. only a little bit of trimming needs to be done to the inner part of the mudguard

my 3L gets between 9.5L-10.5L per 100kms usually about 640kms per 65L. still another 100kms until dry :D

i thought you had the EGR blocked off orignially? or justy on the intake side?

yes STRs were available as single cabs as well. they come with centre console and therefore 2 seats rather then bench seat. had all the extra bits the str dualcabs had (airbag/s, power windows, central locking, fully sic siliver dash surrounds and chrome mirrors etc...)
