I Have finally finished the new d22 2.5l upgrade top mount intercooler.
Features:
Fully welded core ( not crimped like factory)
Will not break apart like factory joins
80mm thick core!
Bar and plate design
uses all factory mounting positions
comes with new silicone and clamps...
the smaller catch can is ok for zd30.....but may still become overwhelmed if the motor is over filled...ive seen them breath quite a bit before
as for reducers you can do it 2 ways...plastic from the garden section in bunnings which is cheap and easy. Or fluid transfer places like hydraulinc...
I can't comment on fitment right off the bat...but can definitely say yes or no after seeing some pics and asking you to measure from the ac condenser out to the nearest part of the winch
I dont like promising power but I can say I havnt had an unhappy customer yet they do perform much better...

But yeh as above "normal" in the way that every single d22 does it....but not "normal" in the way you want your car...
your actuator is not supposed to do anything at idle....you dont have a problem
some can bounce up and down at idle which is also normal....but other then that it wont do anything
if you sit there and watch it and get someone to start the car...you will see it suck up into the actuator then...
