    Crankcase vent hose

Hey guys, can anybody tell me what the solid piece half way along the crankcase vent hose is for. It has quite a restriction to it when you look down the hose. (Ps. ZD 30 engine) Cheers Guido

In cab voltmeter - accessories or not?

Sweeeet. You guys are unreal! Thanks heaps! So next question...I have a battery in the tub linked by an isolator under bonnet. Is it possible to connect a volt meter from the aux battery side of the isolator to volt meter in cab and only have it on with accessories???

In cab voltmeter - accessories or not?

Cool... I think I purchased the wrong voltmeter. Mine only has pos and neg (2wires). I assume the third is the accessories connection wire??? Lucky it was only $2.15!!!

In cab voltmeter - accessories or not?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is able to help me out here... I'm soon to collect a very basic mini fluro blue digital voltmeter to hook up to my aux battery and will probably look to get a second one for my main battery. Is it possible to hook this up via my accessories (key)?? This...

    How many km's on your D22 ?

2002 ZD30, 196000 k's New alternator, belt tensioner, injector seal, suspension. Otherwise stock as a rock. Bit of oil leaking in from rear main seal (I think) and blow by oil has increased a fair bit of late. I drive like a grandad but always wondering if something is going to go bang shortly.

    Sagging roof tent

Ahh, I see. I was hoping to not have the unitstrut bars like you but run the supplied channels front to back between sports bars. The tent will fold out the side still. What do you think? Guido

    Sagging roof tent

Very interesting, I'm waiting for delivery of my RTT and it will be set up exactly the same as this on my D22. Although mine is supported by the ladder as others have suggested. I think in your case it's pulling the whole lot over as terryc said. Tight on the LHS and sloppy on the RHS? Can I...

    Change Fuel Filter

I tried clamping but split the lines because it was old and hard. I saw it coming before I even started. Took bugger all to prime it back up. Don't know what the fuss is with the clamps. I reckon they would take more mucking around than the priming did. Each to their own. Thanks for the help...

    Change Fuel Filter

So, as expected I split my fuel lines with the clamps because they are old and stiff. Am I just ok to replace these line and prime my little ass off to get the fuel back up?? Cheers, Guido

    Change Fuel Filter

Hi guys, I found this video on the Tube. He doesn't use any clamps on the lines? He also lets a lot of diesel fall into the engine bay! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk8USUmVmX4 I am assuming if you don't use clamps, you spill the diesel and also need more pumps to get the pressure up? is...

    Change Fuel Filter

Thanks for that, very helpful. Firstly, can you tell me more info about the hose clamps you use? The lines seem freakin hard and is reckon I would need something decent to crank them flat enough to seal. Cheers guido

    Change Fuel Filter

Hi guys, I'm just chasing a step-by-step walk through for changing the fuel filter. I have read about clamping the lines etc but haven't found much else on the forum. Also nothing in the maintenance section of the owners handbook. As much detail as possible please, as I am sure it will help...

    LED strip light help

Hey guys, rookie question here... I have a 5m roll of 5050 LED strip lighting. It came prewired both ends with red and black wire. My question is, the LED has +, R, G, and B (positive, red, green and blue?) The red wire is soldered to positive and the black wire looks to be bridged across the...

    ZD30 turbo change out

FYI, done 180000k's. Pulled the inlet off this arvo. Little bit of oil pooled in front of wheel. Fins looked good and nearly zero play in it. About 0.5mm and only vertically. None horizontally. Plenty of oil at the back which is worrying me though. Didn't get a chance to pull the heat shield off...
