    Customising my truck...

I was originally thinking of sax suspension, but from what I've read and been told, it seems to be hit or miss, and not everyone seems totally convinced by them. Honestly, I have no idea what's better and what I should be getting!! Bods- can you a pick of your bar up please? I though the same...

    Customising my truck...

Hi Guys, I'm starting to customise my truck a bit more, and am looking at doing my suspension with 50mm lift, bullbar and winch and tyres. I'm having trouble deciding on the bull bar and am looking for some advice and opinions.. I'm looking at either the xrox, the ironman commercial, or the...

    Getting wiring into the cab

I ran mine recently through the grommet that is above the bonnet release cable, on the drivers side. I found that to be pretty easy to get to. Straighten out a coat hanger and push it through from the engine bay. I then cable tied the cable up out of the way of the pedals.

    Roof mount LED light bar

I do have a LED work light on a rear tool box, which came in very handy for having to reverse and unhook in the dark. We hit ALOT of pot holes too on the road too, so I was thinking the light bar would be safer for driving anyhow....

    Roof mount LED light bar

Hey Guys, I Went out camping Friday night with the family and got stuck on a boggy track with a few trees down. Progress got slowed right up and eventually we were out there in the pitch black, unhooking the camper trailer and doing a 20 point turn on the track to turn around (I forgot the...

    King Springs

I've been tossing up between the king springs all round, or king spring front and sax rear, or sax suspension all round. From what I've read, the sax stuff may be bet better, but my brother works at Bursons and can get me king springs, shocks, struts for $900, vs the $2400 I was quoted for the...

2 Weeks off, where would you go from Melb?

Bemm River and Jamieson both look good, but we might save those for summer when its a bit warmer. We are thinking maybe going through Echuca, then up to Hay, after that were not sure. Fraser Island would be good, not sure if it would take us to long to get up there with the kids in the back (...

2 Weeks off, where would you go from Melb?

Any suggestions are welcome Hosery, I will look into those places. I think we will go reasonably hard for the first few days to get north, but there's only a certain amount on "hard" you can can go when there's a 2 1/2 yr old and 14 month old in the back!! I reckon I can take about 16-17 days...

2 Weeks off, where would you go from Melb?

Hey Guys, We just picked up a secondhand Tru Blu camper trailer on the weekend, and a pretty keen to start using it. We are planning a 2 week trip late July, leaving from Melbourne. Question is, how far north do we need to go to get some half decent sunshine that time of the year? We have 2...

    UHF power

Thanks for the quick replies, I like the idea of taking it off the cig lighter, so when the cars off, you know the power is off to the unit. Next question is - is there an easy way to get through the fire wall on the ST? And whats the easiest way to get to the power for the cig lighter...

    30 second tent

I had an Oztent RV3 for a few years, and yes, it is really quick to put up and down. The negatives I had were - I broke the internal side support poles on three occasions, in windy weather. The side poles just couldnt handle the wind. Also, the overall size and weight is a bit much I reckon, I...

    Uhf mounting?

A pic would be good if you've got one there. I've got a ST Manuel, the othe place I was thinking it could go was on the side of the centre console, up in front of the handbrake, in line roughly with the knee. It could go driver or passenger side. The console seems to be skinny enough to keep it...
