yeah just fyi, i stretched my transfer case chain. got quoted like 1200 to get new chain fitted or some where around that figure. but i found a second hand t-case in the quokka off relatively newish d22 that was written off, and bought it for like 400 and fitted it myself. saved myself heaps...

yeah i do have an aftermarker dump pipe, but it doesnt sound like a metallic noise though so i doubt it could be the dump pipe.....curious though how did you fix it mahoody? or have you just left it? im hoping i find this problem soon as its driving me nuts driving around town. may have to...

nah i have previously changed the transfer case due to stretched chain, and its definitely not the same noise. i have had the front end up before on the jack and the arms do sit on the bump stops when jacked up. this noise has got me stuffed

When accelerating on the road pretty hard then jumping off the pedal a knocking noise happens down front end. Towards left by sounds of it. Or when im 4wd it happens pretty often when going over bumps. Ive had a look and nothing appears loose. If anyones got any ideas, any advice would be...

i have replaced my transfer case year and a half ago. removed torsion bars. was a bit of hassle breaking the seal of the tranny onto the gearbox. was real hard. but got it after a lot of cursing and carrying on. i was gonna replace the chain, but if its been stretched, its a worrying thought...

33s are on. and car seems to drive alot smoother i reckon. little bit of power loss but willl crank the chip up a couple of notches to even it out. very stoked with it now. going down south to test my new rubber for few tracks so will see how they go. cheers

well bit the bullet and bought my 33s. found some bfg km2 muddies for 300 bucks a pop and couldnt resist. cheapest ive seen set of brand newies. they go on on friday. hopefully theyll clear without too much scrubbing. is it worth getting another wheel allignment done with getting the new boots on?

yeah, the gap from the str towbar was too great and didnt like it. and just did a straight swap. im pretty happy with it. only regret though is even the spare 265/75 fits very snug. so by going to 33s i wonder if it'll fit at all.

i fitted the a 2012 2.5cr tub, to my 2005 3.0l str navara. bolted straight on. i replaced mine because the tub was screwed and found a brand new one for 500 bucks.

i got my 3 inch exhaust done at hans on exhausts in maddington. supplied and fitted for 800 odd dollars. and am stoked with it. with hi-flow cat from turbo back.
