theyre not to hard to remove and have a rather large fitting on the top that the pick up and return and all other hoses go to. this just unscrews and pops out. plenty big enough to get an arm in and give it a good clean out
id be giving the maf sensor a clean and do a ecu reset and see how it goes. careful cleaning the maf sensor. use electrical cleaner like co contact cleaner or maf sensor cleaner and dont touch the diodes inside it. let the cleaner evaporate before refitting. then see how it goes. im assuming its...
can u feel it selecting gears when u move the shifter. might pay to put it in park, crawl under the vehicle disconnect the selector cable and make sure the shifter on transmission is going into park (hope that makes sense) could just be a cable adjustment issue
disconnect battery, keep earth as close as possible to where youre welding and dont weld with the earth on one side of a bearing and the weld on the other, the arcing across the ball bearings will stuff the bearing
