does the whole part number have to match or is it just the the first part (25560)that matters or does the 2nd part of the number have to match as well (EC44D). i know about the L and R. cheers

I have a replacement (that fits) for mine that's an EC48D. I don't know what the differences are for the last set of numbers.
What I do know now is that I don't buy clock springs any more. I just buy the ribbon cable (actually, I don't, my wife found it and bought me a few). I've just tried searching for them on eBay and can't find the ruddy things at all - just the complete units!
