    D22 v6 petrol front diff in yd25 - ratios

Hi guys, Back drop of my questions are I'm looking to whack in an auto front diff locker and plonking 33" muddies on my lifted Nav. Been keeping an eye out for a front diff from a petrol d22 to put in my yd25. I currently have 3.9:1 ratios and now I have an opportunity to grab another front...

    Fitting 33" tyres Bible

I'm bemused by some of the replies in this thread. Some people are feeding others completely wrong information, and proving themselves as fools The only difference between a 265/75r16 and 285/75r16 is the width of the tyre, which is 20mm greater in the 285 (265mm vs 285mm). The difference in...

    Bluetooth oBD2 scan tools

Personally, I wasnt much of a fan and went with a scan gauge II instead. I was after more than what the apps are capable of. I still had to install mechanical EGT and boost guages on a pillar pod because there are no sensors for those in my '08 d22. You'll find pro's and con's whichever way you...

    D22 str

yeah well I didn't really bother looking at the pictures attached to the first post truth be known, and just because there isn't an intercooler sitting on top of the donk doesn't really mean shit. Plenty of guys (some on here) have larger, front mount intercoolers sitting behind the bullbar mate.

    D22 str

The Nissan service/repair manual says oil capacity is 6.7ltr for the ZD30 engine and 4.3ltr for YD25 and both of those figures are with filter change. Without filter change is 6.2ltr (ZD30) and 4.0ltr (YD25). You would not want to be throwing in nearly 2.5ltrs more than you need if you have...

G'day mate, Generally blue smoke means you're cooking oil somehow, and can be caused by a few things such as using the wrong grade of oil, oil dilution by diesel fuel (i had this), or you could have fouled up piston rings. How many k's are on the clock? As for oil, Penrite HPR 15 seems to be...

    D22 Front Flares

yeah rabbid-chop is right, those aggressive looking bolt on flares are for wider muddies. Probably for 12.5" tyres on a wider offset rim. $430 for a pair is still pretty decent coin to be lashing out and you'd expect decent quality and fitment at that price - again, I'd shoot the manufacturer...

    Another new member

What a steal!!! I paid $30k on road for my '08 (plate run out sale in Jan '09) and still had another 3k worth of accessories whacked on - steel bull bar, tub liner & tow bar. Anyway, welcome mate. You'll no doubt find plenty of useful hints and tips contained within and there are quite a few...

    D22 Front Flares

I've bought plastics from China and other Asian countries in the past (cheaping out, and not related to Nav's) and have usually had to tweak holes a bit with the dremel to get proper alignment. I'd expect a bit better from the Thai's though, and considering that some Nav's are built/assembled...

    Aluminum vs Steel Roof Rack

looks like much of a muchness between them both, either of them look the goods and would likely suit your needs. If it were me i'd probably lean more towards the ali basket and that's only because of the price and weight difference.

    Aluminum vs Steel Roof Rack

Hi mate, I have little to no experience with racks however as a commercial builder I work with both materials plenty. A lot of people would be surprised by the strength properties of aluminium, especially with alloy composites. Boxed sections of ali are pretty damned resilient and it takes a...
