    TD27 Leaking injectors

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone can make sense of this. the TD27 in my D21 is still running like clockwork but has recently developed a noise which I though was just a leak in the exhaust manifold gasket, its only 1 cylinder, doing it from what I could tell and it disappeared when the...

    Thermo fan, worth it?

Hey guys, just as a follow up to this, I ended up replacing my waterpump and fan a few months back (vids on youtube if anyone is interested) and I just fitted a replacement stock fan. by the time I bought a reasonable quality thermofan and a controller to operate it the cost was going to be...

    Driveline Noise

That's a good point Dion, I'll have to get it up on the hoist and see if I can find where they all are and suss out what condition they are in.

    Driveline Noise

THanks for the help everyone, jobs done. delicate tapping with a screwdriver got the peen out enough to undo it. I'm pretty stoked the majority of all the noise is gone now, I can still hear a very slight rubber squeek but only because im actually listening for it, very hard to hear it. The...

    Driveline Noise

Hey Guys, I've started pulling it down to fit the new one. The big 27mm nut that holds the flange on the shaft and gets peened into the slot, am I right in thinking its a good idea to replace that? I'm guessing it's somehting I'll have to get from Nissan. I'll see what sort of shape its in...

    Thermo fan, worth it?

Thanks guys, I'll keep it simple and just get a replacement stock fan blade then. I don't remember the fan in my D22 being that loud so maybe I'm just over thinking things.

    Thermo fan, worth it?

Hi all, Has anyone removed the stock fan and clutch on a non turbo TD27 and fitted a thermo fan? Just wondering if it's worth the effort and expense. I rebuilt the entire cooling system about 2 years ago (new rad, hoses, 'stat) only thing I didnt touch was the waterpump and fan. The waterpump...

    Driveline Noise

I'll suss it out while it's apart but driving across a mowed lawn is about the closest this thing gets to off roading  I was thinking the play in that bushing might explain the shuddering I get driving up my oldies driveway which is really steep.

    Driveline Noise

Hi all, I've got a driveline noise in my Nav thats slowly been getting worse. Its an all standard TD27 powered 89 single cab 4x4 and the noise is a fairly high pitch squeek that sounds rotational and dissapears above 60km/h. When accelrating its most noticable bewteen 0-15 and basically...

    TD27 Fuel Filter Bracket

I used one of these style, they fit in there fine, think I got it from supercheapskate auto And to say my filter had been there for more than a while would be the understatement of the century...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ7lVs53eHA

Cheers Guys, I figured that mighta been the case. Any way I pulled it out and reglued it this arvo. It held up for over 6 months last time and I put a bit more effort into cleaning up the surfaces this time. Anyway here is the part (yellow block) The only D22 at the local wreckers is...

    Need a Part number

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone can help me out with a part number. I just got my 89 d21 single cab back from my old man who has been using it for the last few weeks and the plastic link piece that connects the door key lock barrel to the door latch mechanism has broken free again. So...

    Newbie from Northern Rivers

Cheers all for the welcome and advice. I'll have to start a proper members ride thread soon save dragging this one on and on. How long do my messages need to be approved by a mod for before I can post instantly? I haven't got any great plans for the Navara at this stage, but one thing you will...

    Newbie from Northern Rivers

Password was first thing I sorted out, thanks again for all the help with that. Gonna stick new shocks in the front soon, current ones are fairly old and starting to leak out the seals. Not looking to spend a fortune but don't wanna skimp either, any particular shocks to avoid or go for? I...

    Newbie from Northern Rivers

Anyway sorry for the long winded first post. The TD27 Runs like clockwork and everything still works like new but it does have a few small issues consistant with being 22 years old I've completely gone over the cooling system I replaced all the radiator and heater hoses as they were rock...

    Newbie from Northern Rivers

Hey all, Finally joined up after a bunch of registration problems (huge thanks to Dave for sorting out). I've owned more cars than I care to count over the years and am definitely no stranger to Navaras. My Uncle has owned a 91 Terrano for about 15 years which I have borrowed a few times when...
