Mines been on for over 50000 km now, roughly 60% bush tracks and rough dirt roads. I have the winch and use it and haven't had this problem. The bar itself does bend easy when hitting little kangaroos though. Would I get another? No think I'll put the genuine bar back on and fork out the extra...
Just got two keys done, $68 ea, $60 for the blank of eBay from the Uk, $8 ea to get them cut, and programmed by my local Nissan dealer for free! When I offered to pay, I was told don't bother your a regular customer.
The scientific name for the algae that grows in the layer between fuel and water is cladosporium resinae. It feeds on hydrocarbons and obtains oxygen from the water. Only a problem if you have water in your fuel. I spent many years in aircraft refuelling and we kept a "pet" clad in the waste...
It's your choice to make ;) my lower chain broke at 123000kms with no warning, wish I only had to pay $2000 now. Dads broke at 103000 same deal. Both just out of Nissans 3 year 100000km warranty both broke the lower chain which is only a single row chain, the upper is a double.
Have you checked there is no water in the fuel filter, no noise from the turbo or damage to the compressor vanes? Could also be the turbo control solenoid. Which engine?
Cheers,
Mike
