V9X intercooler to turbo pipe replacement

I just installed this kit on mine, I had a split intercooler hose and had been driving around with it for 2 weeks or so till I found it yesterday . Kit arrived this morning which was amazing shipping time . I'm gonna say the opposite to everyone else here , it's made hardly any difference as far...

Dual battery to caravan set up

I will follow those instructions exactly as directed. I haven't had a chance to jack her up yet , as its been raining all the way from Melbourne and I lack the required equipment . I didn't realize how high you can put the boost up on these units , I now have it set at 13.4 and I can definatly...

Dual battery to caravan set up

I will run with that when I get inspired to do it. I like to cut corners sometimes and it usually bites me in the ass lol best to do it right the first time. Old tony , Just wondering on your teknosha p3 how much boost did it take to lock your van brakes? I know yours is twin axle and mine...

Dual battery to caravan set up

That's reassuring then . Glad my efforts weren't in vain! Note to self , invest in proper wire stripers , not the crimping/cutter type I have.

Dual battery to caravan set up

Thanks for that mate. I probably jumped the worst possible wire for my brake though , I spliced in off my pedal . Done my head in trying to strip the wire and splice in under the dash . But I my reasoning was that I have to run one less wire from the rear to my cab : )

Dual battery to caravan set up

I might try jumping off the ctek with big cable and 75 amp Anderson plugs. I have a few concerns , 1)might not work 2 ) batteries are different brands , one is an optima and other is some make of deep cycle . I'm worried I might wreck my batteries if I join them up . I'll try it and see how...

Dual battery to caravan set up

Just wondering if I'm on the right track with this . I was thinking about how I'm going to wire my battery that is mounted under my tray in the ute ,to my battery in the caravan. I have a ctek charger mounted next to the battery under the tray and im wondering if I should just jump off the ctek...

    2012 d40 radio install

Just watched a bit of your vid . That's the correct way to do it on the 12 nav . The guy who did my install did it like that . No need to remove cup holders , it all mostly pops off if you are carefull.

    Dual battery question

Thanks for the pointers mate. From what I have read the tekonsha are the best unit going , so I won't waste money buying rubbish then having to replace it later. I will use 6b&s cable with a 20 amp breaker or probably a 10 amp (single axel) . I will try and find an install manual for the unit...

    Group Buy Braided brake lines?

I should also note mine are not from the group buy either . My mechanic explained to me that with modern braking systems they will only allow you to apply a certain amount of brake preasure abs Vdc ect . But saying that I haven't had to stop in a hurry yet either . I wouldn't think length would...

    Group Buy Braided brake lines?

I got a question guys , I just fitted steel braided throughout my 12 d40 stx and I honestly can't feel much difference in the pedal feel . The only difference I do notice is when I'm stopped I can't push the pedal as far down as I used to be able to . Is it me or is this something everyone else...

    Dual battery question

I thought someone would tell me that lol but I hoped it wouldn't be said : ) fires are scary so I'll play it safe . Thanks for the feed back. Old tony, can you tell me if it's a big job to do an electric brake control install ? Buying a van next week and I think ill have to install one...

    Falken & Yokohama A/T Tyres

I had yoko geolanders on my old challenger , never had an issue . Good traction in the wet probably better the my Mickeys , though it was a less powerful vehicle the my nav. I seen the geolanders recently and the tread pattern looks like it has changed . I liked my Yoko s . You should get Mickey...

A word of warning to all new nav owners , only buy plug and play units other units will not work with your aerial ,steering wheel controls , and other accessories . They cost more but they work...

    Dual battery question

Job done! Finished late this afternoon and all is working fine . Ctek is pumping out good voltage, checked the voltage on the aux battery whilst charger is running and I was getting just over 15 volts and my voltmeter in the cab was reading about 14 volts in the cab. I'm guessing the difference...

STX with tub liner and tow bar issues

Yeah mate I have a 2012 stx , same disappointment when I picked mine up. It seems like the tub is from another vehicle doesn't fit the tray properly , cut up all over the place , doesn't touch the side of the tray . Looks shit, stuff gets underneath it . but that's the way it is unfortunately ...

    Dual battery question

Ok so ive nearly finished fitting up my dual battery system and other bits and pieces to my nav, I think my c tek is working properly after checking my manual and seeing what all the lights mean on it. Was running cable last night in the dark and just started it to see but I think it's ok. I...

    V9x ecu tune

I think I'll stay away from the reflashing idea . I'd rather pay for a tuning module like uni chip and run several different maps. Can't see the value in reflashing the ecu when for a few more dollars I can have multiple tunes at the tip of my fingers and if I upgrade I can take it with me. Not...
