Can these bolt directly onto a DX body? Are any modification required?

Thats the bit I dont understand, it looked like a box section, I couldn't find the way in to find that captive nut etc..

Serviced the D22 yesterday, and when I was removing the factory sump I noticed most bolts were missing or sheared off, the the 2 remaining were just spinning in the holes, and had to be cut off to complete the service. How do you replace these bolts, they appear to be contained inside the box...

This is great to see, even though I eventually completed the EGR mod by myself, would be great to know this sort of mechanical get togethers exist.

Well I completed this mod today, like everyone said easy once you get into it. Only issue were my vacuum lines were pretty old and broke easily when removed, quick trip to Supercrap and new vacuum lines were needed. Didn't unplug the plug everyone mentions, everything seems to be running well...

No extra T pieces or hose required? If I mess it up, will there be a sign, ie unable to start or rough idle etc??

Guess not? It's just the vacuum tubes that are confusing me..

I would also be interested in a reply to this, except with the purpose of towing a camper with around 200AH of batteries to charge. Sorry for jumping in your thread, just saves me starting another with a similar question.

Also put some rubber inside the end caps so if you go around a corner there is some padding and the poles don't pierce your end caps.

As described after recommendations of a good mechanic in this area. Doesn't have to be one of the big shops, just someone reliable.

If the top of the ladder rack has open box, then you could make a frame that slides into this and secured with a pin or bolts, that would allow you to secure the tent on top, and remove the frame when not in use
