    Repairing D22 for Son

Hi Steve. I have a similar problem with my no start ZD30. Finally traced it to the 2 wires going from the PSG to the timing solenoid. Bare with zero insulation. Did you manage to fix the issue? I would like to repair it in the vehicle but it's nearly impossible,( or just impossible) to get too...

    The old “ZD30 Won’t Start”

Hey thanks for all that. Tomorrow I will certainly check that shutoff solenoid you mentioned. I've heard about this starter motor arcing in other conversations but no one goes into detail of what is happening or where to look. Also , can't seem to find the starter relay? Any details on these...

    Throttle position problem fixed!

Hi all. Just wanted to share my experience which I hope might help someone with a throttle position sensor problem. So a mates zd30 Nav would start but not move off idle. He was ready to order the throttle position sensor but I had a closer look. On the throttle pedal assembly there is a micro...

Where to put clear fuel lines/ air in system.

So I was looking thru this old thread that I started 9 years ago no less and never posted the answer to this problem ( apologies). It turned out to be the dreaded air leak around the filter O ring. Think I got air in lines to begin with because of low fuel in tank and I stuffed up the filter...

    The old “ZD30 Won’t Start”

Sorry for the late reply, had a bit going on lately. Well, I have a no start issue. Ive changed fuel filter, ( primer get hard after 3-4 pumps), changed the CAS ( had code), replaced a few dodgy vacuum hoses, and a cracked injector return hose that hooks back in to inlet side of injector pump...

    The old “ZD30 Won’t Start”

How did this story end? I've been searching extensively for no start advice and get dead ends where no fix is advised. Very frustrating.

    air bubbles in fuel line

Thanks. So I traced the tank to primer line and found nothing obvious that would suggest air being sucked in so will take the thing to town and fill 'er right up tomorrow. My mates thinking is the fuel level will be above the crack/split and wont suck air. If it does stop the bubbles at least I...

    air bubbles in fuel line

Just bringing this thread back to life as I am having the same trouble with air in the line ('04 navy 3L). The clear hoses I just fitted either side of the primer pump have a lot of very small bubbles coming from the tank side, with larger but intermittent bubbles on the injector pump side. A...

Where to put clear fuel lines/ air in system.

Thanks Fourocker. That's interesting mine takes 6 and still not real hard, and mine is a real bugger to pump up the fuel after the filter change. Takes an age. Think I might redo the filter as already advised and this time use the grease on the o rings. Will get clear hose tomorrow and do it all...

Where to put clear fuel lines/ air in system.

Ok thanks, will redo filter. So will replace both hoses to/from primer pump. Can anyone try their primer pump and see how many pumps till firm, and is it then rock hard or just firm and squishy like mine? Cheers

Where to put clear fuel lines/ air in system.

Hi to all from this first timer. Well for the first time in 5 years the old '04 Navy (d22/ZD30) is playing up. First question, when fitting clear fuel hose to detect air, do I have to replace all of them in the engine bay or just the return line from the injector pump? The reason I ask this is...
