Turns out you were right tony. Bearings were shot. Relieved it wasn't a issue with the diff I just realized I posted this in the wrong section also.

How come mine makes a rattling noise when I turn the accessories on. There's no noise when I start it though

Mine does the rattle at start up but I thought it was something to do with the AC as it does the rattle sometimes when the engine isn't running
