Final (apart from paint) product, m12 /1.25 8.8 bolts into the chassis captive nuts with split washers, m10 8.8 bolts with nyloc nuts into original tiedown points for additional support and strength. 25mm hole for upto 4 3/4t shackles and ridge ryder 4500kg hooks.

Have the 2 captive nuts in the chassis and will drill a hole and put another bolt or 2 into the current tow point, all 8.8 bolts. I don’t have much faith in the 2 nuts already in the chassis not to rip out under snatch load

I'm making my own recovery brackets using 10mm 100x100 angle to take a hook and a shackle. Just wondering if I need to make the holes big enough to take a 4 3/4t or if a 3 1/4t shackle would be enough.
