couple of things - D40 is the 2.5l not the 3l. The 3l was in the D22. If its the 2005 3l in the D22 then troubleshooting the fuel issue is easier as its not common rail. You can take the main fuel feed off to the injector and crank the engine and see if fuel is being pumped up. Do NOT do that if...

We bought a Camel CAmper, and would highly recommend them. We got ours second hand (1 year old) with no 12v setup, but for $9k you can't complain. I would recommend getting on myswag.org as that forum is dedicated to campers, and you will get a good idea of what is worth buying over there.

if its a D22 with the ZD30, check the head gasket as thoroughly as you can. if it has any ripples that you can see, walk away or be prepared to drop 10k on an engine rebuild... not saying the ZD30 is a hand grenade...
