Given where the vehicle is located its looking quite expensive to get a locksmith out on time. Do you know if I would still need to program the key to start the car, even if I replaced the whole ignition that came with a new key? I know its easy enough to program it for the central locking, but...

Assumed that because I didn't have the original key the barrel would need replacing but will look into it, thanks

Thanks. I'm not so worried about having keyless entry for the doors, moreso wondering if I'll be able to at least start it by just replacing the ignition barrel and key. Do you know if the BCM controls the immobiliser?

I've bought a D40 Navara that I dont have the key for. Is it easy enough to replace the whole ignition? Will this still disable the immobiliser, etc.?

So I've tried cleaning the contacts and the actuator seems to work properly. The issue is still intermittent but I've noticed it only occurs when the engine has warmed up. When the code has been cleared it runs fine. Could it potentially be a sensor?

My 2011 D40 YD25 diesel is throwing codes 1021 and 102b, and going into limp mode where it loses a lot of power. Previously it would throw code 1021 every now and then, which I would clear and it would be fine for a while. Now when I clear the codes, they come back in a few minutes. Any ideas...
