    Boost issues.

Well I can't say the exhaust would be a solution I just did it ad it was all coming off to oven cleaner the turbo. Mines boosting heaps better now and I've gained about 100km extra per tank

    Boost issues.

Bit of an update. My economy had increased from 500km to 600km to a tank. It still lags a little on take off but had improved in the top rpm range. The 2nd hand turbo I purchased apparently can't be rebuilt due to parts so they did me a massive solid and gave me a brand new garrett for a really...

    Boost issues.

Bit of an update. I removed all the exhaust and put on a 3onch straight through whilst I was there. I wanted to check/gut the cat anyway. Sprayed a heap of oven cleaner in the turbo (exhaust side only) cleaned the maf and reset the ecu and she's running like a charm now holding boost at all rpm...

    Boost issues.

I think it was just a pothole. It doesn't make any pop sounds when it happens. There has been some oil around the hot and cold pipe joiners but I have re tensioned them and they have been staying clean lately. This morning on the way too work. It was boosting nicely all morning. I didn't hold my...

    Boost issues.

G'day everyone. So my 2011 thai manual is having some boist issues. It will sometimes get up too 18psi. But it qill only hold it for about 20sec then drop back to 8psi and randomly attempt to hit 18 again. The car has 290,000km on it. In the last year I've done head, timing chain, injectors...

Getting a new head installed. Should pick it up this week. The problem head chewed a cam lobe on cyc 3 so no valves were seating. Also 1 intake valve on the rest of the cylinders were also not seating. Pretty good for 15k km since install. The supplier of the new head is also doing a report on...

Well I have an answer I just need to get it into the shop again. The specialist said that the head that I purchased and had installed is a Chinese head and they have seen it many times before that the valves tighten up and need to be shimmed and the material they use to make the heads is crap...

    Clutch problem

Mine did this not too long ago. Ended up being the pedal box cracked and then cracked the firewall. As mentioned above. Very common and easy fix if your handy or friend is handy with a welder. Watch the clutch master cylinder behind the brake booster while someone presses the pedal.

    Coolant leak

I had this same problem I changed out the gasket and thermostat. It was a bit of a pain but with every extension bar I had I got it though the wheel well with only taking the wheel off. But it ended up being the head gasket at the corner right above the thermostat. It was weeping and running...

I dropped it off at a diesel specialist that got highly recommended by 3 people hopefully I can get an answer this week. It drove like a gem once warmed up it was about a 40 minute drive. When/if I get an answer I'll post it up. The maf was cleaned and fuel filter bypassed, ecu resets and fuel...

Yeah that's all been done yesterday. Had the scan tool all over it reprogramming injectors and the ecu just to make sure. Even changed out the scv. I'm thinking possible hole in the piston. I have a diesel specialist to contact today too see what he thinks also.

Hello legends I have a 2012 thai d40 manual. Had it since new. It's running rough like it has a lumpy cam when starting in the morning. Blows a fair bit of black exhaust fumes at idle and under load. In the last year I have had a brand new head, timing chain, scv, clutch and last week I had 4...
