    285/75r16 on a 16x8+0?

Why not run 33" equivalents on the stock 17" rim? Then if you get sick of the alloys, just buy the 17" steelies and swap the tyres over? I guess the other question that hasn't been asked, is whether you have any lift? 33s will require it.

    285/75r16 on a 16x8+0?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the post-facelift Navs with the 140kw motor (which yours looks to be) went to the 17" rim because they had larger brakes that wouldn't fit under the 16" rims... I may be totally talking out my arse here though, and I'm open to correction.

    Adventures in Timing Chain.

Couple more photos for interest. The missing tension guide was found in about 20 pieces in the bottom of the sump. I will own up and say I drove this for far too long after initially noticing the rattle, chasing all other options before finally accepting it as a timing chain issue. Denial I...

    Adventures in Timing Chain.

Pretty much the exact symptoms that convinced me to take my truck off the road. Found this when I opened her up:

    Adventures in Timing Chain.

I have the Engine Australia (strange thing, I paid $830 to my door :/ ) kit sitting in the shed, with my Nav up on blocks ready to do this. To say I'm apprehensive would be an understatement. I've been procrastinating by replacing brakes. I'm even having issues there, with rotors and drums...

Supplier of ALL spare parts for Nissan

Was a bit confused when I followed the link, as it was all just seals. If you actually go here you will find their automotive site: http://www.alliedautomotive.com.au/ A quick search for some parts I need (timing chain kit) showed they didn't carry stock yet.

Time for a birthday - Sourcing Parts?

Yeah, I'm aware of YD25.com.au, I was unaware they did stuff like VRS kits. I was intending to get one of their EGR delete kits to totally be rid of that demon. I'll be honest, I'm not really considering a double row timing chain, I have a bit of reluctance to spend over 10%* of the price I...

Time for a birthday - Sourcing Parts?

OK, I was going to start a new thread, but thought it belonged here. I'm gearing up to give my 2007 ST-X a birthday. With 285,000km on the clock, she's starting to feel a bit tired. I've got a weeping head gasket to repair, and what appears to be an increasingly noisy timing chain. I feel...

Climate control mind of its own!

What are the symptoms you are having, linked? I've got a 2007 ST-X, and it will occasionally make noises that sound like vents actuating upon shutdown, or mode change on the climate control.. wondering if this is a similar issue?

    New to the Navara clan!

Cheers, I wasn't sure how well Google does hosting. Stuck at work so can't use proper hosting sites.

    New to the Navara clan!

Well. after that false start, I'm back! Joined up here with all the good intentions in the world, to build a nice little touring D40, only to have life get in the way... The Nav lasted all of about 2 years, an interstate move to Tassie for work and 80,000km, before I yearned for speed and...

    New to the Navara clan!

G'day all, just introducing myself to the forum. I picked up my new D40 Navara ST on Friday night, and have already racked up about 600k (easy to do out here in the sticks!), mostly road, but the more I drive it, the more I love it! Previous car was a V6 Commodore ute, and had to get something...
