    box go bang

Hi guys, just wondering what other vehicles had the d21 box, because the the old nav decided she didn't like the taste of her gearbox and spat it out. The cheapest replacement I have found so far is for $1,500 from the wreckers and I just dont think the old girl is worth the trouble anymore...

    Project D21

Sorry its been so long since my last update, but I have been a little busy with starting a new job. There has been little progress with the ute, but I have been luckily enough to score a 8000lb winch for only $125. So now I have no excuse not to get in the shed and start with the bodylift and...

    Headlight relays?

I just put a some relays in my old girl and it has really done the trick. 2x 40s for the high beams, 1x 30 for the headlights and another one for the spotties. Now she gets a full 12 volts as apposed to the 9 volts bofore the relays and really turns night into day. Definately the best mod Ive...

    Nisswreck

Sounds like you had a good run. I might have to get your guys name off of you, because when I called them a few months back, they took a week to get back to me with a price for a KA24, wich was $2500 with comp and wiring, I thought that was a bit rich so I haven't called them for anything else.

It's sad to see it go, she was a real inspiration.

    Bigger wheels

You should only need to wind you front torsion bars 2" and I'd look at some raised springs or shackles for the rear.

Ironman load plus spring or airbags

The load plus is only good for tradies and delivery trucks, anything that has a constant load of over 300kg's. They really stiffen up the ride quality of your suspension, so unless your prepared to take them off when your not towing the camper I wouldn't suggest them.

    should i buy a d21 1986

It just concerns me that when you look at the Ebay listing, the stats state the old z24 motors engine number. I would contact the seller and ask him if its all engineered.

    How old are you ?

You feel old? I can remember who I was seeing in 1992!!!

    TV Navs

There's a red frontier on the garfield movie, if that counts. Don't ask how I know.

    should i buy a d21 1986

I just had a look on ebay, I'd buy it. But as pro-nav suggested, check that engine swap is ligit. Hey, if you do but buy it, you would really be helping a few of us out by finding out how he did the conversion.

What Should I Do With My D21

If you took to it with the grinder for 44s, would there be any panels left? just rip off the front panels and stick some garden edging to the bonnet, she'll be right....actually that sounds like fun...Hmmmm.

What Should I Do With My D21

Start with a 2" suspension lift and some decent 31" tires on some 15x7 in rims and you'd be laughing.

What Should I Do With My D21

    44" boggers? you'd be the first to try a 10" body lift:big_smile:
