D22 ZD30 2003, air con keeps cutting out and just blowing hot air, may work for 20min, then nothing, but if I stop the car turn it off, wait a min then restart can work for another 20min but sometimes just keep working for hrs, when it does work it is very cold,

Having issues with the revers switch on the gearbox, I have installed a duel reverse camera, could I tap into the reverse switch and override it with a selectable switch on the dash? thinking it may overcome the issues with the gearbox switch?
