Reversing Light Switch

Having issues with the revers switch on the gearbox, I have installed a duel reverse camera, could I tap into the reverse switch and override it with a selectable switch on the dash? thinking it may overcome the issues with the gearbox switch?

Not sure if this will help. Dual camera setup and switchable.



And the plug to access the wire for the reverse light feed is under the drivers seat carpet.

Word of warning: if you simply feed power to the line, you'll have your camera but you'll cause your reverse lights to come on.

The way around that is to either use a SPDT switch, or a SPDT relay. The switch is simpler, less prone to faults, but means you have to bring all the wiring up to where the switch is.
