Hi a few weeks ago I brought a 2004 D22 3.0 and am wanting to give it a oil change. The truck mechanic at work gave me a 20L drum of Castrol Tection HD. Now the owners manual says to use a JASO DH-1 oil and the castrol website says the Tection HD is suitable for JASO DH-1 engines, has anyone ever used this in their engine? or have any comments on using it? I have ordered genuine filters from Nizzbits

cheers Yobbo

Not sure what its like. I use the delo 400 from caltex. Sea to work well for me. But have had some ppl tell me it's the wrong oil....

Wrong oil- for what reason? It's one of the few oils that meets the JASO standard specified in the manual. Keep using it if you're happy with it. I've been running it for about 18 months now and the ZD30 loves it. Can usually get it for between $80 & $90 for 20L.

Yeah no idea mate just had a few ppl tell me it's shit. I swear by it though. I have never had a problem and stays pretty damn clean. I do service it every 5k but it still keeps it cleaner then any other oil I have used.
