hi guys need some help my nav isn't liking me much at min, its been awesome up until week ago i noticed on start up i have no power and the truck is smoking grey/black smoke until turbo finally spools up and clears smoke out, but this happens through the gears as well. i have recently replaced egr valve, fuel filter, air filter, and primer bulb. i've used redex injector cleaner in the diesel to see if works but nothing so far. its only done 65k so has been serviced since owning and i have no lights on dash, anyone had similar issue or can shed some light on what to try next as id rather fix myself but at point of throwing the towel in and sending to the garage.

I'd say there's a problem with one of the following:

* Vacuum lines leaking
* Boost control solenoid failing
* Brake booster vacuum diaphragm leaking
* Turbocharger actuator diaphragm leaking
* Turbocharger failing

No need to throw a towel at it. A good first step would be to see what kind of boost levels you're getting. When this happened to me I was lucky to see 6-8 psi which is about a third of the pressure you should see in a D40.
