need help in solving a small problem re sealing the saddle over the mains , please , i was told that you dont need sealant to seal the saddle to the block over the mains , i would be very concerned that it would leak , hence i use a non hardening AVEIATION GLUE VERY LIGHTLY OVER THE BLOCK TO SEAL IT TO MAKE SURE IT DONT CAUSE A LEAK BETWEEN THE BLOCK AND THE SADDLE , , AND IF I HAPPEN TO USE TO MUCH ,WILL THIS OPEN UP THE MAINS CLEARANCES TO MUCH .
CAN I GET A URGENT REPLY ON THIS MATTER PLEASE MEMBERS ,SO I KNOW WHAT TO DO IN THE FUTURE CHEERS TAKE CARE ,WELSHY1

you won't gain anything, but it shouldn't hurt. the sealant only fills any gaps. worse thing is excess sealant getting into the oil later on.
the oil seal is done by the bead around the outside., the webs can't leak oil anyway because they are internal.
