advice on wheel offset

right guys i no this has been asked loads of times,
i have the v6 550 nav my plan is to fit 265 70 17 st maxx tyres, im looking at ordering some new rims , 17x8 or 17x9 , which is going to be the best offset for each wheel size i need , i dont want them to stick out the archs .

update looking at these sizes

17 x 8.5 offset 14
17 x 8.5 offfset 25
17 x 9 offset 1
17 x 9 offset - 12

which one do you guys think would fit best.

I have 17x8's with 20+ offset and all you see is the tyre bulge wich is about an inch outside the gaurds

If stock is 40, which I think it is. You can run 305's with 14.

I would recommend 25.

stock is 30 on the 550 , do you think the 25 offset would sit out side the gaurds
