2008 D40 here, I recently replaced an old battery (kept going dead), and put a brand new one in... replaced at the battery shop. Anyway, when I got back in the car the AC wouldnt work, the fans all blow etc. but when I press the AC switch the light does not come on, nor does any cold air blow...

Has anyone experienced this before?

It might just be the fuse that's blown. Check the set beside the glovebox, here's a pic of mine. The AC fuse is immediately below the extraction tool.

hey Tony, just got round to this... i replaced the fuse but AC still not coming on... anymore ideas on how to fix??

cheers

Hi had a problem like that . If the compressor clutch is not activating there is also a thermal fuse on the compressor and its in the plug on the compressor
I found it by measuring to see if 12volts was on the wire to the comp. clutch right down on the compressor. I just put a new plug on. This happened over 2 years ago still no problems.
