Hi all, apologies as this not really related to my D22, but thought there may be some guidance on here regarding this.

I have a camper trailer with independent airbag suspension. I am looking at installing toggle switches connected to compressor that will enable me to inflate/deflate the airbags without having to get out the compressor and attach it to the battery then to the valves (just like you would on your car) each time i wan to adjust them.

I can get the switches and pressure guage unit no worries, my question is....... should I be able to use my existing portable 12v unit and mount and hardwire to the battery for this, or will I need to purchase a specialised compressor and tank for this?

cheers.

your existing one should be fine.
my compressor was a portable one and i have it permanently mounted.

the only issue maybe airline plumbing as a lot of portables don't have pressure switches, one way valves etc which you will need if its plumbed into airbag system permanently.

I've just bought the wireless air kit from ebay in the states for $500 delivered. Hoping to get time to install it before Chrimbo. Comes with a compressor and wireless transmitter so that I can pump the bags up and down while wanking off over the bonnet :) I'm going to install the compressor in the rear next to the deep cycle
